Cardio workouts are necessary for heart health and losing pounds, and aerobic exercise is important in maintaining weight and developing a healthy physique, but creative exercising is the way to go when the weights and the gym machines become boring.

One way to spice up the exercise routine is to add cardio dance workouts into it.  Cardio dance has become very popular and helps to draw those people who do not really like to exercise.

Each dance instructor has individual points, tips, and routines that make their dance unique.  There are salsa routines that incorporate the core muscles of the abdomen.  Salsa is a Latin dance but very effective when using the core muscles of the abdomen to perform the moves. Latin dance routines use a lot of hip action and up-tempo beats without being too fast. There is hip-hop and other music genre dance routines from some of the popular television shows.  Hip-hop music has fast moves and involves a lot of movement.  These dances can be categorized at the extreme level when it comes to keeping up with the beat.

There are different levels to these dance routines from beginner routines to advanced routines.  Having an idea of what is needed can help when choosing what routine to incorporate.  Of course, there is no set standard for using only one routine. Workout DVDs are the standard method to incorporate a cardio dance workout routine.  This allows an individual to use the routine at home and not be bound by a gym membership.  Dance studios are also a venue when it comes to adding them into an exercise program.

You can also get a dancing workout at home if you have a modern video game console: games like Just Dance 2 for the Wii and Dance Dance Revolution 2 for the PlayStation 3 use motion sensors and on-screen visuals to enable you to get a great cardio workout from the comfort of your own home. The extreme levels require quick movements using fast-paced beats.  Actual exercise movements are included in some of the routines and help to make it fun, exciting, and very beneficial.

Choosing a Cardio Dance Program

Visiting the local gym can help target the routines that may work best.  Trainers have information about the various exercise routines that can help in the decision on what to get.  A beginning workout is a good investment when the knowledge is at a minimum.

Getting a fun routine is also a way to get started, stay motivated.  Another way to choose a cardio dance workout routine is targeting the music that produces the workout of interest such as music from seventies or routines specifically entitled “dance music” routines.
